Ernest Dade was born in Scarborough in 1868, Ernest Dade painted genre scenes, landscapes and seascapes in oils and watercolours. He lived for a while in Chelsea where he was associated with the Manresa Road group of artists in the 1880’s. Dade exhibited in London at the Royal Academy and Society of British Artists. He died in 1935 in London. Collections: Victoria and Albert Museum.
