Martin Rettig, Jr. (1866/8-1956, active 1883-1953), a Cincinnati artist, studied under Frank Duveneck and worked with his older brother, John Rettig, as a theater fresco artist. He shared a studio with Henry Farny, but his primary focus was floral still lifes. Rettig, Jr. also worked at Rookwood pottery in his early days, and this influence can be seen in much of his work.
